What is Oloop?
Oloop is a Perth-based refurbished iPhone business founded by Jason, who has 4+ years of professional iPhone repair experience. We're not a mass-market retailer—we're a transparent, accountability-focused business that inspects every device using professional-grade tools, documents the results in permanent TrueReports™, and backs everything with personal oversight and 1-Year Coverage.

Is Oloop a legitimate business? How do I know this isn't a scam?
Oloop is a registered Australian business. We're a small, founder-led operation—not an overseas dropshipper or marketplace seller. Every device has a permanently archived TrueReport™ that I personally create, and I'm reachable directly via email and phone. Where are you located?
We're based in Perth, Western Australia. All devices are inspected and shipped from our WA facility, and we ship free to anywhere in Australia.
Can I pick up my phone in person instead of shipping?
Currently, we operate as an online-only business and don't offer in-person pickups. All purchases must be shipped. However, if you're in WA, you'll receive your device within 2-5 business days with free standard shipping.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Shopify's secure checkout. We also offer Afterpay and other Buy Now, Pay Later options at checkout.

What is TrueCheck™?
TrueCheck™ is our 30+4 point inspection protocol. Every device goes through 30 individual function tests (cameras, Face ID, speakers, buttons, sensors, etc.) plus 4 deep tests using professional tools (battery diagnostics, UV light screen check, airtight seal test for repair history, and extended stress testing). It takes 20+ minutes per device.
What is a TrueReport™?
A TrueReport™ is a permanently archived document that shows exactly what I found during inspection: exact battery health percentage, screen test results, component authenticity verification, cosmetic condition photos, and pass/fail status for all 30+4 tests. It's linked to your specific device and stays online forever—even after you buy it.
Can I see the TrueReport™ before I buy?
Absolutely. Every product listing includes a direct link to its TrueReport™. You can review all inspection data, battery health, cosmetic photos, and test results before making a purchase decision.
How do I know the TrueReport™ is real and not just made up?
Each TrueReport™ is permanently archived with a unique ID (like TR-25A14-001) that's printed on the device packaging. When your phone arrives, you can verify that the TrueReport ID matches. The report stays online permanently—I can't delete it or edit it after the sale.
Battery & Condition
What's the minimum battery health you sell?
We never sell devices with battery health below 85%. Most of our inventory is between 85-95%, and we clearly state the exact percentage in each TrueReport™.
What does battery health percentage actually mean?
Battery health shows how much capacity remains compared to when the battery was new. For example:
- 100%: Brand new battery, holds full charge
- 90%: Holds 90% of original capacity—still excellent daily performance
- 85%: Holds 85% of original capacity—good for most users, might need charging by evening
We test battery health using professional diagnostic tools, not just iOS Settings (which can be inaccurate).
Will the battery health decrease over time?
Yes, battery degradation is normal. All lithium-ion batteries gradually lose capacity with use—typically 1-2% every few months depending on usage patterns. This is normal wear and tear and is not covered by warranty. However, if your battery experiences a sudden, catastrophic drop (e.g., 88% to 40% within days), that's covered under our 1-Year Coverage.
Do you guarantee zero dead pixels?
Yes. Your TrueReport™ documents zero dead pixels at the time of inspection using full white/black screen testing. Unlike most retailers (even Apple doesn't officially guarantee this for new phones), we cover dead pixels under our 1-Year Coverage. Since our phones have been in use for 1-2 years, any manufacturing defects would have already appeared—making this coverage lower risk than buying new. Dead pixels caused by physical damage (drops, pressure) are not covered.
What do the cosmetic grades mean?
We use clear, honest grading:
- Excellent: Near-mint condition, minimal to no visible wear
- Very Good: Light scratches or minor scuffs visible under close inspection
- Good: Moderate scratches or wear, but fully functional
Every TrueReport™ includes detailed photos of any cosmetic imperfections, so you know exactly what you're getting.
Are the parts genuine Apple parts or aftermarket?
We verify component authenticity using UV light testing and other professional methods. If any aftermarket parts are detected (like a third-party screen), we document this clearly in the TrueReport™. We never hide component replacements from buyers.
Can I request a phone with higher battery health?
Our available inventory is listed on the website with exact battery percentages shown in each TrueReport™. If you're looking for a specific battery health range that's not currently listed, email jason@oloop.com.au and I'll let you know when one becomes available.
Warranty & Coverage
What warranty do I get with my phone?
Every Oloop phone includes our 1-Year Coverage that guarantees all hardware functions marked "Passed" in your TrueReport™ will continue working for 12 months. This is in addition to your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
What's covered vs not covered under warranty?
✅ Covered: Hardware failures for components that passed inspection—Face ID, cameras, speakers, buttons, charging port, connectivity issues, sudden battery failure.
❌ Not Covered: Accidental damage (drops, cracks, water damage), normal battery degradation, software issues, unauthorized repairs, lost/stolen devices, or issues already documented in the TrueReport™.
What if something breaks during the warranty period?
Email jason@oloop.com.au with your order number, TrueReport™ ID, description of the issue, and photos/video if possible. I'll review your claim within 48 hours and arrange repair, replacement, or refund—whichever is appropriate.
What's the difference between your warranty and ACL rights?
Australian Consumer Law (ACL) gives you statutory rights that can't be removed—like remedies for major failures or defects. Our 1-Year Coverage is an additional guarantee on top of ACL, specifically tied to the documented condition in your TrueReport™. You have both protections.
Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship Australia-wide?
Yes! We ship free to anywhere in Australia using Australia Post with full tracking, signature requirement, and transit insurance.
How much is shipping?
Standard Shipping: FREE Australia-wide
Express Shipping: $15 AUD for faster delivery

How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 1-2 business days. Transit times from Perth, WA:
- Perth & WA: 2-5 business days (standard) / 1-2 days (express)
- NSW, VIC, QLD, SA: 5-8 business days (standard) / 2-4 days (express)
- Regional areas: 7-14 business days (standard) / 3-6 days (express)
Do I need to be home to receive delivery?
Yes. Every shipment requires an adult signature. Australia Post will not leave your package unattended. If you miss delivery, they'll leave a card and you can collect it from your local post office or arrange redelivery.
What if my package is lost or damaged during shipping?
Every shipment is fully insured. If Australia Post loses or damages your package, we cover it 100%—you'll receive a replacement or full refund. Contact jason@oloop.com.au immediately if there's a shipping issue.
Returns & Refunds
Can I return my phone if I change my mind?
No, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. Because every device is unique and comes with a detailed TrueReport™ showing its exact condition before purchase, we ask that you carefully review all documentation and photos before buying. If you're unsure about a specific device, email jason@oloop.com.au before purchasing and I can provide additional information.
What if the phone arrives different from the TrueReport™?
If your device has a major failure upon arrival (dead on arrival, significant report discrepancy, undocumented damage, or wrong device sent), you have 30 days to report it. Contact jason@oloop.com.au with photos/video, and we'll arrange a free return with repair, replacement, or full refund.
Who pays for return shipping?
If your return qualifies under our policy (major failure, report discrepancy, etc.), we provide a free Australia Post return label—you don't pay anything. Just pack the device securely and drop it off at any post office.
Technical Questions
What iPhone models do you sell?
Currently, we focus exclusively on iPhone 14 models (various storage sizes and colors). We may expand to iPhone 15 and 16 models in the future. Focusing on one model allows us to develop deep expertise in inspection and common issues specific to that device.
Are the phones unlocked? Will they work with my carrier?
Yes, all Oloop phones are fully unlocked and work with any Australian carrier (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, etc.) as well as most international carriers. We test cellular connectivity as part of the TrueCheck™ inspection.
Will the phone be iCloud locked or Activation Locked?
Absolutely not. Every device is completely clear of iCloud Activation Lock and ready to set up with your own Apple ID. We verify this during inspection—if a device is locked, we don't sell it.
Do you test water resistance?
No. We use an airtight seal test to detect repair history (whether the device has been opened), but we do not test or guarantee water/dust resistance (IP ratings). iPhones may have had water resistance when new, but this can degrade over time or after repairs. We recommend treating all refurbished phones as non-water-resistant.
What iOS version will the phone have?
Phones are shipped with the latest stable iOS version available at the time of dispatch. You're free to update or restore the device as needed once you receive it.
What's included in the box?
Each Oloop phone includes:
- The iPhone itself
- Secure protective packaging
Chargers and cables are not included unless specifically stated in the product listing. We don't include chargers to keep costs low and reduce e-waste—most customers already have Lightning cables from previous iPhones.

I aim to respond within 48 hours (business days). For urgent warranty or shipping issues, I typically reply much faster—often within a few hours.
Do you offer repair services for Oloop phones?
Yes. If your Oloop phone develops a hardware issue covered under warranty, I'll repair it at no cost. For out-of-warranty repairs or accidental damage, contact me for a quote—I may be able to help at a reasonable rate.
Can I trade in or sell back my Oloop phone later?
We don't currently have a formal trade-in or buyback program, but this is something we're considering for the future. However, your TrueReport™ stays online permanently, which makes it easy to prove your phone's condition to private buyers if you decide to resell.
What if I need help setting up my iPhone?
While we don't provide general iOS support (like Apple does), if you have questions specific to your Oloop device—like verifying the TrueReport™ matches your phone, or checking hardware functionality—email jason@oloop.com.au and I'm happy to help.
